Money well spent

Purchased the BattleGear OG SR Long Sleeve, it's now considered a regular part of my protective gear. Top notch protection for two very vital areas in the neck and wrist, and unlike others that are seemingly there for looks, this actually covers from just under my chin and jaw all the way down and after a month's worth of uses not only doesn't sag, seems to be getting more snug each time out. Combined with level 9 ANSI cut resistance, without feeling like anything other than a regular base layer, I don't understand the logic in not having one. Granted, it costs more than a base layer with no protection but that statement alone should explain why and if you're willing to cover up/protect your elbows for a similar cost there's not much of an argument not to cover/protect two of your major arteries. Elite product that is money well spent.

FAQs

What Makes Titan Battlegear The Safest?

Titan Battlegear's hockey neck guard utilizes advanced American-made cut-resistant materials and a unique collar design to maximize coverage of critical zones.

Other Brands Use Kevlar®, Why Titan Cut Resistance is Better?

Most Kevlar® fabrics offer an ISO 13997:1999 blade cut resistance level 2, and in very rare occasions level 3 (on a scale of 1 to 5).

Titan's hockey neck guard shirt utilizes proprietary, American made fabrics, delivering the highest cut-resistance: level A9, which makes it 200 stronger than steel, and almost 5 times more cut resistant than Kevlar® products rated level 3 at 5N.

Are there certifications for the USA Hockey mandated laceration protection?

Unfortunately USA hockey does not have any certification requirements currently.

They state “Players are required to wear a neck laceration protector that is commercially designed and manufactured for that purpose.”

We are eager for them to enforce stricter guidelines around the level of protection to qualify as “neck laceration protectors” for the Aug 1, 2024 mandate.

In our testing of other products available in the market, we revealed a very low level of cut resistance due to materials such as Kevlar®, which only provide a level 2 or 3 cut-resistance, depending on fabric weight.

Titan shirts achieve up to a level A9 cut-resistance, the highest level of cut protection in the world.

How Safe Is The Shirt After Many Washes?

We tested cleaning with cycles across TEN Durawash twin-tub industrial machines. This is equivalent to 50 washes in a domestic washing machine.

The cut resistance level, following this washing process increased by 4%. Test reports from INTERTEK are available upon request.

Where Are Titan's Products Produced?

Titan was born in South Florida, and Built in the Americas. Our factories are in Winter Park, Florida, and Colombia. We source material from premium partners in the USA.

The mass market and other independent brands produce in China, with questionable labor practices and superficial cut resistance certifications.

Can I Customize Titan's Hockey Neck Guard Shirt With My Team Logo/Colors?

Yes, Titan's TeamWorks program offers custom gear for teams, as well as personalization by player, including name, number, and even their country flag to represent their nationality!
